Past Life Regression - My Beginnings

I, like many people, had a certain pre-conceived idea of what past life regression was before I really knew much. I had started reading a book called Life Between Lives, which I found really fascinating, but I have to admit to only reading the first couple of chapters. So I, like many people, thought it was a cool way of finding out who I was in a previous life. And, in the case of life between lives regression (which I don't do specifically although I have thought about it), what happens between lives.

When I was studying for my diploma in hypnotherapy, we were made aware of various extra courses we could do to tack on to our hypnotherapy practice, and one of these was past life regression. I thought that maybe it would be something interesting to learn about and offer to clients who just wanted something fun, rather than something therapeutic.

When I started the course, I realised that I could not have been more wrong. I mean, yes, it is an interesting tool for finding out who you were in a previous life, and certainly if that's what people want, I am more than happy to guide them into a past life or two and show them the details of who they were and what they did, but it is so much more than that.

Past lives carry traumas, and often the energy from that trauma is stuck there, and is affecting your current life. For example, if you have a random phobia and you have no idea where it came from, chances are it came from a past life. In regressing to that past life, we can find out what happened, relive it in a safe space where we can take the power out of it, and suddenly, that phobia isn't a phobia any more. It's the same with anxieties that we don't understand, behaviour patterns we don't understand, and other such things. Of course, it's not quite as simple as that, and often there is stuff from past lives as well as from this life that is feeding into all that. The great thing is that the subconscious is a very protective beast that wants the best for you. So if it feels you need to go to a scene from this life and work through that, that's where it takes us. If it feels you're not ready for that yet, it'll take you where it feels you are ready, such as a past life or ancestor's life. And then, once you're ready, it'll take you into that current life problem. It really is such a clever technique. Each session is different, which I can attest to as both a client and a therapist! But it is so, so effective and it's become one of my favourite things and now I tend to use it over standard hypnotherapy because I believe in it that much!

So I suppose what I'm saying is, yes, by all means, come and have a session of past life regression for fun, where I can show you the details of a past life, but the really exciting thing is the ability to heal traumas and improve someone's life. That's what I do it for!
